Celebrating Christ at an Episcopal Church in Sarasota
with Family Activities and Fellowship in Florida

Fellowship is the conduit to creating and developing a community of believers. You can attend church every Sunday and still not know anyone. You need fellowship opportunities to develop close ties with others. There are many ways to get better acquainted with other members of the community but nothing is more fun than sharing a meal, taking a hike, or going on an outing together.

The first Sunday of the every month features a themed brunch. A good example is the Ocktober Fest celebration we had in October, followed by St. Margaret’s High Tea Sunday in November, and the Christmas Cookie contest in December. On the 3rd Saturday of every month we get our friends and dogs together and go out to visit local parks. Our favorite is Myakka River State Park but we have added several new trails in the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center south of Punta Gorda. The outing group meets and plans fun trips like kayaking the mangrove tunnels of Lido, visiting the Stations of the Cross at Dayspring and going to local museums in the summer.

We welcome you with open arms to visit us and meet our inviting community!

Worship on Wednesday

The Worship on Wednesday program is a four-tiered outlet for our members and their friends. First, there is a discussion and healing communion service at 6:00 p.m. For many members who work on Sundays, this is their only opportunity to attend church. The Youth Group also gathers at 6:00 to begin their program. A Chef prepared dinner served at 6:30 p.m. follows the service. Many families just drop by for dinner and fellowship to break up the mid-week stress. Dinners are healthy and delicious and cost only $5. The program begins at 7:00 p.m. for 1 hour. Programs are may be a video series that looks at other World Religions, or a clergy led series on how to make Advent and Lent a more meaningful experience. Topics vary and the program runs from mid-September to Mid-May.
