St. Margaret of Scotland Episcopal Church
Fellowship for Everyone
Episcopal Church in Sarasota Celebrating Christ
with Family Activities and Fellowship in Sarasota, FL
Fellowship is the conduit to creating and developing a community of believers. You can attend church every Sunday and still not know anyone. You need fellowship opportunities to develop close ties with others. There are many ways to get better acquainted with other members of the community but nothing is more fun than sharing a meal, taking a hike, or going on an outing together.
The first Sunday of the every month features a themed brunch. A good example is the Ocktober Fest celebration we had in October, followed by St. Margaret’s High Tea Sunday in November, and the Christmas Cookie contest in December. On the 3rd Saturday of every month we get our friends and dogs together and go out to visit local parks. Our favorite is Myakka River State Park but we have added several new trails in the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center south of Punta Gorda. The outing group meets and plans fun trips like kayaking the mangrove tunnels of Lido, visiting the Stations of the Cross at Dayspring and going to local museums in the summer.
We welcome you with open arms to visit us and meet our inviting community!
Men’s Bible Study
An informal opportunity for men to get together over a sandwich. While we begin our discussions having read some bible passage, we usually journey into a conversation of matters important to each of us. There is a high level of trust, and anyone is welcome at any time. We meet every Thursday from 12-1 o’clock in the Fellowship Room of Admiral’s Walk, 5751 Soldier Circle off of Clark Road. Just come. It is well worth the time.
