Fellowship and Family Activities while Celebrating Christ
at an Episcopal Church in Sarasota, Florida

Fellowship is the conduit to creating and developing a community of believers. You can attend church every Sunday and still not know anyone. You need fellowship opportunities to develop close ties with others. There are many ways to get better acquainted with other members of the community but nothing is more fun than sharing a meal, taking a hike, or going on an outing together.

The first Sunday of the every month features a themed brunch. A good example is the Ocktober Fest celebration we had in October, followed by St. Margaret’s High Tea Sunday in November, and the Christmas Cookie contest in December. On the 3rd Saturday of every month we get our friends and dogs together and go out to visit local parks. Our favorite is Myakka River State Park but we have added several new trails in the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center south of Punta Gorda. The outing group meets and plans fun trips like kayaking the mangrove tunnels of Lido, visiting the Stations of the Cross at Dayspring and going to local museums in the summer.

We welcome you with open arms to visit us and meet our inviting community!

Church School

“Teaching, Baptizing and Nurturing Believers.”

“I felt I could add something to church, to help St. Margaret’s grow with its Sunday School. I like kids and have taught and led Sunday School in my previous church; and with the great team of incredible teachers here, Penny Durham, Ali Perry, and Lou Don Bates, we really provide a welcoming, safe, and sound spiritual experience for the children.” – Penny Walsh, Sunday School Director.
